Sony points the future of the PS4 to fight with Google Stadia

Google trying to wipe out Sony and Microsoft with Stadia?

At today’s Google presentation it became clear that Mountain View has turned up to wipe everything out. Their project Stadia is something that at first glance seems quite ambitious and will enable cross-play and multiplayer games up to 4K. All this from the cloud and with the infrastructure created by Google for it, without intermediaries.

The fact that Google can reach so many potential customers makes things complicated for Sony and Microsoft because when we compare the service shown with the Japanese, the differences are pretty big. But they also have additional advantages for developers and compatibility with YouTube, the largest video platform in the world.

Future of Sony PlayStation Now

Marco Saletta, President of Sony Interactive Entertainment in Italy, said in an interview with the Twinfinite website during the launch of PSNow in Italy: “Exclusive content is the way to improve, I think we still have a few years of PS4 to go and we are working to capture the community that already has the console and invite new consumers into our world.

Support and brand image

But it is not only revolution and money that are in demand, but also the brand image that Sony and Microsoft have been doing for years. In addition, third-party support and the exclusive catalog are two important keys, if Google wants to get strongly involved in the market, it must have a third-party catalog which is not easy to get.

Saletta said, “We had some very successful launches last year like God of War and Spider-Man, and these are traditional single-player games. In this context, I can tell you that the commitment that we have with games like FIFA and Fortnite is extremely decent”
