Nvidia GeForce Now didn’t get off to a good start since its official launch earlier this year, as about 10 developers have officially withdrawn their titles from the platform. However, GeForce Now has received a major update and now officially offers DLSS 2.0 support. However, technically there is nothing you can use it for yet.
GeForce Now adds DLSS 2.0, but there is no game that uses DLSS 2.0
For those who don’t know: DLSS is a system that takes low resolution rendered images and then tries to automatically enhance them using the AI. This method can put much less strain on the graphics card hardware. In short, if you have an Nvidia 20XX graphics card, DLSS 2.0 can provide a solid performance boost without major sacrifices in image quality.
This is a system that clearly sounds like a fantastic idea for your streaming service. Although there is a pretty big problem, there is currently no game on GeForce Now that uses it.
Nvidia has confirmed that “Control” will be the first game to include it. Furthermore, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries and Deliver Us The Moon will be added in the coming months.
Do you think it’s enough to give the GeForce Now service the boost it needs? Probably not. What Nvidia needs to do here is add more games and more games that support DLSS 2.0. This would not only give the service more visibility but also make DLSS 2.0 technology available for more games.
