Death Stranding will use DLSS 2.0 technology on PC

It seems that the PC version of Death Stranding will support the latest DLSS technology from NVIDIA, DLSS 2.0. This was announced in a new press release that NVIDIA sent to selected media and was eventually leaked online.

As the leaked press release states:

“One of the highlights is the long-awaited game; a title that reveals a dark post-apocalyptic future that the creator of the Metal Gear series, Hideo Kojima, has devised. The game explores a society that is trying to reconnect with the achievements of actors like Norman Reedus and enjoy even more beautiful landscapes on the PC thanks to NVIDIA’s DLSS 2.0 technology.”

PC gamers will finally be able to enjoy this award-winning work by legendary game developer Hideo Kojima, which is about reconnecting shattered humanity and harnessing the power of GeForce GPUs running at 60 FPS. The PC version also supports NVIDIA DLSS technology for improved visual quality and more frames per second, as well as ultra-wide screen games and the new photo mode.

DLSS 2.0 is one of the best scaling techniques we’ve seen in recent years. That’s why we’re very happy that more and more games are using it. Another Triple-A game that DLSS 2.0 will officially support is Cyberpunk 2077.

Together with DLSS 2.0, the PC version of the game will support high frame rates and ultra-wide monitors. It will also feature a photo mode and content from Valve’s iconic half-life franchise.

It will be available on PC this 14 July and it is confirmed that Denuvo will be used to combat piracy.
