Transcend is deploying an entirely new line of SSDs with 96-layer 3D NAND flash memory chips. The offering is based on NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4, SATA III, and mSATA M.2 SSDs with capacities from 64GB to 2TB.
These new features benefit from improved design, an extended operating temperature range from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 75°C) and dynamic temperature limiting.
The SSD MTE652T2 is positioned as a showcase. In M.2 format it uses a PCIe 3.0 X4 interface and supports the NVMe protocol. Its mechanics guarantee data rates of 2100 MB/s compared to IOPS values of 235K when processing 4K files.
The maximum announced capacity is 512 GB. The MTS952T2 and MTS552T2 are M.2 2280 and 2242 SSDs. These numbers represent 22 mm wide dimensions verses 80 and 42 mm long. A capacity of 2 TB is available, while flow rates are modest at 560 MB/s. The MSA452T2 is an mSATA flash drive with a maximum data rate of 560 MB/s and a capacity of 1 TB.
Finally, the Scope Pro SSD Utility is used to monitor and manage the status of the SSD and provides a variety of useful features, including S.M.A.R.T, diagnostic analysis, secure erasure, storage device status display, system disk cloning, and remote monitoring.
