The Transcend JetDrive 850 has the PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe interface, which means that four lanes are used to transmit and receive data simultaneously. The result is convincing performance of up to 1,600 MB/sec read and 1,300 MB/sec write. Built with NAND 3D flash memory, the JetDrive 850 is reliable, highly compatible, and brings a new level of performance to Mac computers.

Using a 10 Gb/s Thunderbolt interface, the unit features ultra-fast transfers. The JetDrive 855 is housed in an elegant aluminum alloy case designed to tastefully complement the Mac’s simple, clean design. In addition, the inside of the SSD is removable, making it even more adaptable to user preferences.

The Transcend JetDrive Toolbox is a free tool, which is just a custom software kit for Transcend’s Apple solutions. JetDrive Toolbox helps users maintain a healthy SSD by keeping it up-to-date, preventing functional degradation and predicting problems before they occur. Easy to use, the toolbox includes drive information, status indicator and firmware update functions.

Transcend JetDrive 855 and 850 come in 240GB and 480GB capacities, and are backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. At the moment, we don’t know the prices of both.
