Grand Theft Auto V was released 8 years ago, a game that came out for the PS3 and Xbox 360. And as you know, Rockstar Games has released versions for all platforms, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and soon it will come to PS5 and Xbox X/Series.
But the good thing about the PC version is that thanks to mods, you can see how the game would look with next-gen graphics.
Two new videos have been released, showing how every detail counts to make GTA V look visually amazing and ever more spectacular.
In below shared videos, we see the incredible lighting completely overhauled, with ray tracing and a few other mods running on an RTX 3090.
And in this video, we have another version with NVIDIA technology, improved lighting, and up to 8K resolution on YouTube. There are also other mods that improve not only the graphics performance of the game but also the look of the elements.
Three very powerful mods have been in development for several years. With a monster PC equipped with an RTX 3090 graphics card. The whole thing gives us this photorealistic version of GTA V that allows you to play in 8K and with ray tracing. An option that is not given to every one, since it can be expensive. Between the purchase of the game and the price of the PC, you’ll have to add the price of the mods, not all of which are free.
Of course, such rendering won’t be possible with the new versions of GTA V that are expected for the end of the year on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. There’s even a good chance that ray tracing won’t be part of the game, as we explained in our special report on GTA V’s next-gen expectations.
We’re still eager to get our first look at this new version of the game and what Rockstar Games has in store for us as surprises. The publisher has already made it clear that this won’t be a simple port of the game to next-gen consoles.
