Asus is expanding its extensive range with a new monitor, the ROG Strix XG32VC, which is a great game monitor with 32-inch QHD resolution.
ASUS ROG Strix XG32VC, new curved 170Hz gaming monitor
The Asus ROG Strix XG32VC monitor from Asus uses a VA panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which doesn’t just provide the sharpest picture, but the enormous size of the panel works wonders when immersed. Thanks to VA technology, the display is able to produce a static contrast ratio of 3000:1 and is certified with DisplayHDR 400. The screen curvature is 1800R, which is less than that of the Samsung G7.
The XG32VC has 125% of the sRGB color spectrum and 90% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, which is pretty accurate, but not so accurate for graphic design. It is also a 10-bit panel, which means it can reproduce gradients without ribbons.
To support the ROG brand and compete with some of the best game monitors, the XG32VC does not disappoint with the game specifications. The response time is only 1 ms MPRT, it has a refresh rate of 170 Hz and is compatible with FreeSync Premium. The minimum refresh rate is set to 48 Hz, and it is safe to assume that this monitor will also work with Nvidia G-Sync at the time of release.
Connectivity consists of an HDMI port, DisplayPort, USB-C, and there is a built-in USB hub with two ports.
The official price is not yet known, although the retailer Alternate has listed the XG32VC monitor for 569 Euro in Europe.
