The new system is more powerful than its main rival PlayStation 4 Pro. And new console also has the ability to handle the games in 4K-resolution. The company will announce the final name at the official presentation at the E3 2017 exhibition.
The console is based on the updated AMD Jaguar processor. However the transition to the new processor architecture is not the one that every one was expecting. Project Scorpio Frequency is also increased by 31% and reaches up to 2.3 GHz. Also the company also worked on the optimization of delays.
Xbox Project Scorpio RAM and Disk Enhancements
It also comes with 12 GB of GDDR5 memory with 384-bit bus bandwidth and achieves up to 326 GB/s. In which about 8 GB are available for developers. The rest of the amount is allotted to the system processing needs. It also has a Video chip technology with Polaris architecture that comprises of about 40 computing units with a frequency of 1172 MHz. So gives the system productivity at about 6 TFLOPS. Its cooling system uses the evaporator chamber to reduce heating effect.
Hardware support for DirectX 12 offloads the CPU during rendering. Xbox Project Scorpio comes with a 2.5-inch hard drive and 1TB optical drive supporting 4K UHD Blu-ray. The compact housing also has an integrated power supply. However there is no individual port for connecting Kinect controller, but there is HDMI 2.0.
4K display
During ForzaTech demonstration it worked at 60 FPS 4K-resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels). The console graphics are loaded up to 60-70%. It is fully compatible with games for the Xbox One and can optimize them for graphics adjustments. So that the picture has a best view in a 4K-display. In 2018, Microsoft promises to add support for head-mounted display for Windows Mixed Reality platform.
Announcement Xbox Project Scorpio will occur at June 11 in a Microsoft press conference in Los Angeles. The console will go on sale later this year. Some experts believe that the price of new items will be about $ 500.
