With time, the new console (Project Scarlett) that Microsoft is building gets revealing more data, a new generation of Xbox that already promises to be four times more powerful than Xbox One X, according to Microsoft.
In an interview with Gamespot, Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed some interesting facts about Project Scarlett.
Project Scarlett will not forget the past
As a priority, he wants the games to load quickly and run at 60 frames per second, much more than the current frequency (four times more). They also want to ensure compatibility with earlier versions, as it’s four generations of content that can’t be ignored.
But the fact that the original Xbox games now run on Xbox One, or that 360 games are no problem at all isn’t a coincidence, it’s part of an important existing project within the company, so nobody sees their investment in games thrown into the sewers. Spencer added that players with different generations of consoles will continue to be able to play against each other.
More images per second and maximum speed
On the other hand, the console will respect the compatibility of existing controllers, not just games, and that’s something surprising as we usually associate a console with their own controllers.
So we take it as many frames per second, high loading speed and few limitations in compatibility with previous versions, three basic pillars in competition with the giant Sony.
