With the latest update to Resident Evil: Resistance, you can use the dangerous nemesis as a playable character for the first time in the franchise. Russian Special Forces Chief Nicholai Ginovaef will also be added as a new mastermind, who will be selected during the online multiplayer mode in the RE3 remake.
Resident Evil Resistance: the fury of the Nemesis
R.E. Resistance, originally intended to be a title spin-off, pitted four survivors against a mastermind who set traps and monsters for them. You can choose to play as Nicholai, controlling Nemesis to hunt down the survivors, but not only. You can use camera-mounted firearms and tracking devices to keep an eye on enemies.
In a recent interview with PlayStation’s Tim Turi, the team at Capcom, creators of Resident Evil 3 and Resistance, talked about how they’ve redesigned Nemesis to suit the tastes of a new audience; the character still repeats the word “STARS” several times but now has a new outfit and the ability to infect zombies with pests. You’ll also be able to handle a rocket launcher powerful enough to wipe out entire teams of survivors at once. Exciting, isn’t it? To enjoy the Nicholai/Nemesis characters, all you have to do is download the free update from the shop.
Resident Evil 3 Remake features a multiplayer structure with 4 vs. 1 gameplay; you can play up to four players as survivors against an evil mastermind that wants to stop them from escaping. Nemesis is not the first of the title’s updates. Jill Valentine was also recently introduced as an additional DLC.
