MSI Introduces the X299 Tomahawk Arctic Motherboard

It’s only a few days before Intel’s Core X processors go on sale. And motherboard manufacturers are finalizing their motherboard alignment that will use the X299 chipset. MSI has added a new one in the form of the Tomahawk Arctic X299 in an attractive white color. Which has the usual eight memory banks for DDR4, with a speed of up to 4266 MHz through XMP. Or in the dual channel up to 4500 MHz.

The motherboard X299 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC includes a USB head 3.1, eight SATA3, one U.2, two M.2 for storage – one with its own heatsink – and water pump head and another for RGB lighting. It also has four PCIe 3.0 slots running at x16 for multi-GPU layouts of up to three graphics cards. It gets power from a single eight-pin power connector in addition to the usual ATX.

The back of X299 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC includes two USB 3.1 connectors. There is one USB type A and a different kind Type-C, three USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, one PS / 2, Ethernet. And buttons to make CMOS and BIOS update from USB memory Which MSI calls Flashback +. The audio chip is a Realtek ALC1220 – with the usual Nahimic 2 sound and Audio Boost 4, with separate audio circuitry – while the Ethernet chip is the Intel I219V.
