ASUS continues the motherboard presentations for Intel Core X processors. The TUF X299 Mark 2 comes out for those who want to make SLI. But do not need a demanding motherboard in the field of overclocking or with many lights. In fact, the views limit to a series of RGB LEDs on the right side of it, that are adjustable via Aura Sync.
TUF X299 Mark 2 Eight banks of DDR4 memory
The motherboard is ATX-format, with the X299 chipset. It comes with eight banks of DDR4 memory up to 4133 MHz using XMP 2.0. There are X299 motherboards that allow the use of 4400 MHz memory. So, do not walk away, you can always try to make an additional manual upload. The motherboard uses a Realtek S1220A audio codec, and an Intel I219V Ethernet chip.
TUF X299 Mark 2 Optane Memory Support
There are two M.2 type SSD slots, compatible with Optane type SSDs, six SATA3 connectors, and one Thunderbolt 3 in-board header. This motherboard also supports an SLI or CrossFire of up to three graphics cards. It has two USB 3.1 connectors, four USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0, in addition to a PS/2 port.
The TUF X299 Mark 2 motherboard is priced at 249 $, making it among the cheapest available nowadays.
