MSI has announced that its Intel 700-series motherboards will support the latest 24GB and 48GB capacity DDR5 DIMMs, which means that the maximum memory capacity of an Intel motherboard with DDR5 memory can reach a maximum of 192GB.

Crucial was the first memory manufacturer to introduce memory models with the unusual 48 GB capacity and 24 GB DDR5 memory. This forces motherboard manufacturers to change the maximum memory and support the new modules.
