Xiaomi had previously launched a 3-axis Gimbal specifically for its 4K action camera. While there are several handheld Gimbals available on the market, to date Xiaomi has not released any Gimbal for smartphones. However, today the company officially presented a Gimbal under the brand name Mijia for smartphones.
Mijia: Xiaomi launches the affordable 3-axis Gimbal for Smartphone with the 5000mAh battery
This new Gimbal is similar to the one released earlier for the action camera. It is priced at 599 yuan (approximately 80 Euros) and will be on sale in China from June 16. The new Gimbal Mijia offers 3-axis stabilization for smartphones and action cameras. Includes high-precision attitude sensors and servo motor system for real-time stabilization with 0.03-degree accuracy.
However, the smartphone can only have a maximum width of 86 mm and a weight of 200 grams. It can be used to perform time-lapse matching with the application. There is also an option to quickly activate the selfie mode. The Gimbal can automatically follow the selected subject as well as other best-selling Gimbals. Once the subject is selected in the application, the Gimbal can follow it 360 degrees. It comes with a built-in 5,000mAh battery that can last up to 16 hours.
The Gimbal can also be used to charge your smartphone and supports up to 5V/1.5A output. With a large battery and a polycarbonate case, the Mijia Gimbal handheld weighs 476 grams. At the bottom edge, it also has a standard 1/4 inch screw for attaching to other accessories such as a tripod. Unlike the Gimbals released earlier, we hope that Xiaomi will not limit this new Gimbal Mijia to the Chinese market alone.
