Xiaomi Mi 8 was released recently, now we get some leaks about its successor, Xiaomi Mi 9. The flagship series of Xiaomi phones will certainly see another model. The first leaks come from Gizkhin, which in turn relies on suppliers to send electronics to companies.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is expected to be launched in the first half of 2019, initially in China. It would be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 processor (equivalent to a Kirin 980), which is the successor to the Snapdragon 845.
According to these reports, a new Xiaomi phone will be launched in the first half of next year. This would, of course, be in line with previous years as Xiaomi Mi 8 celebrated its birth in June this year. But that’s not all. According to Gizchina’s reports, the specification of the upcoming smartphone is also be revealed to us.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Specifications
Xiaomi Mi 9 is said to be the first Xiaomi brand to receive a triple camera. In addition, the main camera will be equipped with a Sony IMX586 sensor with a 48 Mpix resolution. The hardware will also receive 6 to 8 GB of RAM. Xiaomi will probably also include a fingerprint reader under the display and wireless charging.
A new model that must perform better than its predecessor
Interestingly, Mi 9 is perhaps the first phone to receive the Snapdragon 8150, Qualcomm’s new flagship processor. 8150 is the rebranding of the Snapdragon 855 and indeed the first Qualcomm processor in 7nm technology. Of course, all these revelations must be recorded with a pinch of salt, because none of this information is officially confirmed by Xiaomi.
The announcement of the Xiaomi Mi 9 will take place at the beginning of next year. The Chinese giant will strive to consolidate its excellent year 2018 and its 100 million smartphones sold worldwide.
