However, the year 2018 has brought some good news for Xiaomi and its users, and it is that the company has finally found a way to optimize its camera specifications and optimize its mobile software for better image processing.
Although critics praised devices such as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and Mi 8, Xiaomi has now created the opportunity to bring the cameras of these devices to the quality level of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Xiaomi’s new smartphone that was launched yesterday. This new device has the company’s best camera yet, with a night mode that has even been compared to the powerful Huawei P20 Pro camera from the expert Dx0Mark.
In this context, Lei Jun, co-founder of Xiaomi, has announced via Weibo that Xiaomi’s mobile development team will be working on a software update to bring the camera extensions from Mi Mix 3 to their Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S.
This will be possible because the Mi Mix 3 camera is the same as its predecessors, and the camera settings and software optimization will take these components to a higher level.
Xiaomi announced a new department in the company earlier this year that will focus on mobile camera development and research, suggesting that this effort is finally paying off as even the Mi Mix 3 camera has been compared to other heavyweight manufacturers in the industry such as Samsung.
