Logitech has announced the official purchase of Loupedeck, a company specializing in image editing and streaming hardware. Loupedeck started as a project on Indiegogo, launching Loupedeck CT in 2019 and later introduced Loupedeck Live and Loupedeck Live S, competing with Elgato’s Stream Deck. In addition, this company and Razer have previously collaborated on the development of the Stream Controller.
The purpose of this acquisition is to provide a superior quality experience for content creators and streamers on various platforms. Logitech’s intention is to offer continuous upgrades with integrations and presets compatible with Loupedeck devices. For its part, the acquired company is looking to expand its customer base.
Ujesh Desai, Logitech G’s general manager, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition of Loupedeck and how it will strengthen its product line. He noted that this addition broadens its portfolio and accelerates its goals of developing intelligent, integrated software for keyboards, mice and other technologies.
It is important to note that Logitech is pursuing an acquisition strategy to expand its portfolio. In previous years, they have acquired companies such as Saitek, Astro, Blue Microphones and Streamlabs, further strengthening their presence in the peripheral market.
Loupedeck reassures their audience that their operations will continue without interruption, including the warranty process. In their official statement, they reaffirm their commitment to support customers and partners in future projects.
