Smart watches do not have as much success as was expected a few years ago.
Few functionalities in devices that depend very much on the mobile phone, few apps, few updates… but that does not mean that the sector is dead, Huawei proves it with a new patent.
The company has patented a smartwatch with built-in Bluetooth headsets. Surely we will see it in the Huawei Watch 3, although there is no published release date, at the moment it is only a patent on paper, with no prototype in sight, as they say in Lego digital.
The patent details some ways to store the headphones: through a capsule with a spring mechanism that opens and closes with a click, the possibility of magnetically fixing it by storing it in the strap… are waterproof headphones with active noise cancellation, with the option of answering calls and adjusting the volume without moving the wrist.
The patent was approved June 28 by the World Intellectual Property Organization and could give us a clue as to what to expect for Huawei Watch 3. Now we have to wait and see if they can improve the software and battery life, points where they didn’t make much sense in previous versions.
Let’s hope the idea comes out of the paper and we can see it in the stores even later this year.
