This solution describes a telephone that can be folded in half. A special hinge is used for this purpose to allow folding. However, it is not known when such equipment will be available on the market.

The Chinese do not want to be worse than the competition and they are already patenting such an idea. The application was filed last year and the patent dossier was published this week.
From the graphics attached to the patent application, it appears that the Huawei smartphone is to be half-folded, similar to a book. The most important element (apart from the flexible display) is a special hinge located in the middle. Once you’ve unfolded the whole, you’ll get a screen that’s as big as the size you’re used to in tablets, and you’ll find a wide selection in the shops.
Huawei doesn’t really hide the fact that he is working on such a device. Last autumn, the company confirmed such plans in an interview with CNet.
