Google’s Stadia cloud gaming service will be officially launched on Tuesday and will offer the ability to stream several video games, so all we need is a good internet connection to enjoy them on any device that has access to the network without the need for “PC gaming”.
Google Stadia requires that you buy the games and pay a subscription to play at 4K. Google has pleasantly surprised its first users, as the number of games available at launch will be around 22, almost twice as high as Google’s last week.
Some of these titles may not be available until 2020, according to Google’s latest estimate, but Stadia’s boss Phil Harrison has confirmed it in recent hours.
The list of games available for Stadia is as follows:
- Odyssey of the Assassin Circle
- Attack on Titan: Final 2
- Fate 2: The Collection (available from Stadia Pro)
- Agricultural Simulator 2019
- Final Fantasy XV
- Football Manager 2020
- Grid 2019
- Gylt
- Righteous Dance 2020
- kine
- Exodus Metro
- Mortal Kombat 11
- NBA 2K20
- Anger 2
- Ascent of the grave robber
- Red Dead Salvation 2
- Samurai Shodown (available in Stadia Pro)
- Shadow of the Grave Robber
- Beaters
- Grave robber 2013
- Increasing studies
- Wolfenstein: Young blood
In addition, the Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a title previously scheduled for 2020, will be released in late 2019; and Doom: Eternal, Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters and Cyberpunk 2077 are now officially confirmed and will be launched for the stadia in 2020. The updated list can be found here.
Google also confirmed that the Samurai Showdown is now available to Stadia Pro subscribers for free. Previously, Destiny 2 was the only free title played with this subscription.
Google Stadia requires that we buy the games on the service, and there are two types of accounts: Stadia Pro, which costs $10/month to play with a resolution of 4K, with HDR support. Next year there will be a free Google Stadia account with which we can play in a maximum resolution of 1080p. Although the account is free, this is irrelevant as we also have to buy the games to enjoy them.
