Google Stadia: 1440p support in Chrome and more games in Stadia Pro

This week Google Stadia added support for streaming in Chrome with a resolution of 2560x1440p. This will allow users of QHD monitors to play and broadcast live in their native resolution, adding to the 1080p and 4K options already available.

To play on QHD you previously needed an active Google Stadia Pro subscription, a bandwidth of 35 Mbps (or higher), and a Windows or Chromebook operating system with VP9 hardware decoding and (of course) a QHD monitor. However, all these requirements will no longer be necessary for the Chrome stream.

Another news of the week from Google is the addition of two new games to the Stadia Store: Jotun: Valhalla Edition and Sundered: Eldritch Edition. Users who have already subscribed to the platform will also receive a free copy of The Elder Scrolls Online on June 16, a title that comes with the Morrowind Chapter campaign.
