Google Chrome launches playback control on YouTube

This feature is already included in the Canarian version of the browser, which is a special edition for developers. There are a number of “flags” that open up new ways to test the application. From now on you will also see the flag #global-media-controls. Just turn it on and restart your browser to use this new feature. Previously in the address field, you had to enter chrome://flags. Then we see the following screen.

Google Chrome Youtube Playback settings

From now on, when you turn on a video on YouTube, a characteristic “play” icon will appear at the top right of your browser. All you need to do is have one of the tabs on the platform to control the videos without having to enter them. Click on the icon and a small rectangle will appear.

Other new features in your browser include an extension that detects suspicious websites.

To test the YouTube Control Plugin on your own skin, simply install Google Chrome Canary, which you can find in our download section. And if you want to test other web browsers at the same time, you can download it here.
