The Economic Daily News report says Apple plans to develop its own folding device, but will not be an iPhone as expected, but an iPad.

IHS Markit explains that this foldable device can also be supplied with 5G mobile phone support. Apparently, Apple’s foldable iPad would have a screen similar to a MacBook, which means it could reach 15 inches when unfolded.

But that’s not all, because the foldable iPad could also be supported with 5G connectivity, which would allow faster navigation, says iHS Markit, a global information provider based in London.

Remember, although this information comes from a reputable analyst firm, we have to take it with tweezers until Apple comments.

At the moment it’s not clear whether the iPad will have a folding mechanism similar to that of Samsung and the Galaxy Fold, or perhaps a mechanism that mimics a laptop with a double screen, with a display for the keyboard instead of a physical keyboard.

Other rumors suggest that the foldable iPad will have a rear-view camera and a TOF sensor to capture 3D models, an ideal feature for illustrators as they can edit the image on the device through the Apple Pencil.

However, we can not rule out that Apple has not currently revealed plans to develop 5G devices in the near future, but by 2020, when it would present three new iPhone and two of them will come with 5G support, as the analyst Ming Shi Kuo recently revealed.

It is speculated that two iPhone will have Qualcomm’s 5G baseband modems.

While a foldable device could be an object of desire for apple bite signature fans, the report notes that there is still no evidence of related components.

At the moment, it’s hard to believe Apple will imagine such a device by 2020, because if we look at what happened to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold today, most manufacturers should take the time to test it and avoid any production flaws.
