Following the official withdrawal of AMD Ryzen, the official information from the main sales outlets is very positive. For the first time in several years, AMD outperforms Intel in sales in most Asian markets and others such as Germany.
AMD Ryzen beats Intel in large parts of Asia
In markets like South Korea, according to Danawa Research (one of the most important suppliers), sales were turned upside down after the release of the AMD Ryzen 3000 processor. Just two days later, the red team took over no less than 53.36% of sales.
On the other hand, the company has also shared data on the proportion of clicks on products of both brands AMD has received 76.95% of pulsations, while Intel was in the background with just over 23%.
The most recent data we have from Danawa Research is the existence of each processor according to their sales. As we will see, the Core i5-9400 is the most popular processor with 14.55 % of turnover but is closely followed by the Ryzen 7 3700X. The third-place belongs to the Core i7-9700k with 9.08% market share, but the next three places belong entirely to AMD.
In Japan, the figures are more discreet, on the other hand, they are just as relevant. According to the BCN ranking, AMD’s relevance reached 50.5% at the beginning of July, slightly exceeding Intel’s strong influence. Over the years, the Japanese market has experienced ups and downs, but we must remember that by October 2018 Intel monopolized 72.1% of the market.
