The Intel Core i9-12900K processor managed to achieve a targeted market with qualified samples that are currently being tested.
Intel Core i9-12900K QS beats the Ryzen 9 5950X in Cinebench R20
The processor was tested in the benchmark tool Cinebench R20, which compares it with the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor.
The Intel Core i9-12900K is a powerful and highly efficient 8-core processor with a base clock of 3.9 GHz and 5.3 GHz as a boost clock.
The performance tests in Cinebench R20 show that the Intel Core i9-12900K achieves around 810 points in the single-thread test and 11600 points in the multi-thread test after all. Both scores are higher than those of the Ryzen 9 5950X, which is the highest CPU.
Computationally, the new Intel processor outperforms the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X in the single-thread and multi-thread benchmarks by 26% and 11%, respectively.
These results are very promising and are the least that could be expected from Intel’s new CPU generation, which has a completely new heterogeneous design.
The Alder Lake CPU generation will welcome the new DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 interconnect interface and make the leap to a 10nm SuperFin node.
