The gaming industry is getting a lot of interest as seen by the involvement of giants in this era. A new speculation is circulating over the internet that shows the development of new camming consoles like XBox based on the cloud computing. And the work is getting underway in collaboration with Microsoft and AMD. Both of these companies partnered to achieve new milestones in the gaming industry. Microsoft will work on two new game consoles with one based on cloud technology. This solution is currently being developed with AMD and will be available soon. A new report from AMD says.
New reports from AMD and Microsoft say that they are working together to propose a new vision for the game console. It would take advantage of the cloud technology. Much of it is in the hands of AMD. However, the information is still unclear.
It is expected that Microsoft’s future range of game consoles will be based on two models. The first would be a classic solution like the Xbox One, while the second would offer a different approach. On the other hand, the console would offer some local computing capability, but most calculations would be done from the cloud.
Next Generation, AMD and Microsoft Console united for cloud gaming?
This approach is exciting in a number of ways. From a technical point of view, the console would not require a “large” configuration that will reduce its price. In parallel, Microsoft would have a way to ensure development over time by transferring computing power to the cloud.
The idea that AMD is part of this project goes back to recent statements by CEO Lisa Su. In an interview with CNBC, she said:
“We are partners of them (AMD) in the field of game consoles. I think we have a vision of cloud computing […]I love the fact that we are trying to predict the future by making good decisions.”
This project is still in its infancy and many things can change. There is no announcement of these new features yet. The schedule foresees 2020.
