If you’re the kind of person who loses track of time when you enter YouTube, you’ll find its new feature useful.
YouTube has a new feature that programs rest reminders
In keeping with the spirit of digital wellness that was announced on Google I/O, YouTube is launching a feature that will help users take breaks from their video marathon.
The dynamic is simple, as we see in the picture. It allows us to set reminders to take a break, which we can schedule by choosing different time periods.
For example, if you’re taking a break from work or school and want to relax and watch something interesting on YouTube, you can point out that you wish to receive a reminder within 15 minutes. When that time is up, a reminder will appear as shown in the second image.
When the reminder appears, the video will be paused until we take action, either ignore it or close the YouTube app. This function is not configured, as each user must decide whether to use it or not and in what period. And of course, you can set it as many times as you like, or disable it.
If you want to try this feature, go to the YouTube app, choose Settings >> General >> Remind me to take a break. A simple and practical feature that will make us aware of the time we spend watching videos, even if we don’t realize it.
