Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for Windows 10 v1803 alias April 2018 Update. It only focuses on bug fixes. One of the most interesting is Google’s Chrome browser.
Although Microsoft announced that Windows 10 April 2018 Update was the most powerful and fastest upgrade in OS history, the facts are a little different.
Its automatic deployment since last May 8 is at the origin of various types of bugs. One of them touched the Chrome navigator. It is at the origin of discussions because Chrome is today the most used navigator in the world. This position is verified under Windows 10 despite Microsoft imposing by default its Edge browser.
Since a few weeks, several reports evoked a strange behavior of the Google application. The navigator is a victim of various problems with unexpected incidents for no apparent reason.
KB4284848 and Chrome fixed a problem with Chrome
According to the KB4284848 cumulative release notes, this Chrome problem was known to Microsoft. A patch is proposed to correct the situation. The giant explains having
“Fixed a problem that prevents the latest versions of Google Chrome (67.0.3396.79+) from working on some devices. »
So this is good news for users of this browser. We have a correction of a problem considered critical. However, Microsoft does not address all bugs affecting this application. For example, a problem affects the full-screen mode which can cause the action to be taken on the desktop.
According to the latest figures in the market shares of the various browsers, Chrome used by more than 6 PCs out of 10. Microsoft Edge, the default browser for Windows 10 is far behind ( 4%).
