WhatsApp has a very interesting feature for GIF files that we send in Instant Messenger. Now you can save them and edit first. The modified GIF can then be distributed. WhatsApp includes this feature in both the beta and stable versions of the application.
WhatsApp allows us to send GIF links to friends. Recently, however, a very useful feature has been introduced that allows us to edit attachments in this format. You can download and edit them first. Then send it to your friends.
The new feature can be found in WhatsApp 2.18.306, as well as in the beta of the application with the number 2.18.312. When trying to send a GIF, the communicator will suggest the possibility to download animations. The file will then be opened in a separate window. Here you can make your own changes. You can see it on the attached screenshots of the AndroidPolice service.
Unfortunately, the novelty only works with GIFs. For files in JPG, PNG, WEBP, WEBM or MP4 format it is no longer useful to consider them. However, it is possible that Facebook will add more file types to the availability of such a tool.
