Vivo to launch two foldable phones this year

The Vivo foldable smartphone will reportedly feature an 8.03-inch LTPO 120Hz screen covered with UTG ultra-thin glass and is expected to be unveiled at MWC (Mobile World Congress), which will kick off on February 28.

The foldable phone segment has been growing for a few years now, with Samsung being the brand that has been betting the most on this type of model, and has achieved good sales figures so far. It is expected that this year other brands will also launch devices in this field. One of them will be Vivo. The Chinese brand has planned two launches in this segment.

Vivo will launch two foldable phones this year

The Chinese manufacturer is expected to leave us with two foldable phones this year. A way to compete with Samsung in this market segment.

There have been talks for months that several brands will launch foldable phones in 2022, including Google. Another brand looking to compete with Samsung in this space is Vivo. The Chinese manufacturer has been expanding its presence in European markets for some time. So it’s the right time to launch its first foldable devices. Plus, we’d have not one, but two models on the site.

Another Chinese brand that will leave us this year with a foldable device is Xiaomi, one of the most popular names in the market. This brand has already introduced a foldable model some time ago, but it has not left China yet. It is expected that the next launch will be worldwide.

In the case of Vivo, there are currently no dates for the launch of these two foldable devices. It doesn’t look like we can expect them in the first half of the year, but probably towards the end of the year when they will be officially announced. It seems that it will be the same situation as Google and Xiaomi making them official in the second half of 2022.
