AMD sponsored streamer Fortnite MissGinaDarling discovered an Easter egg on the new map for Epic Games’ famous Battle Royale. This discovery claimed to confirm the name RX 6000 for the next AMD graphics cards, previously known as Big Navi.
The Easter egg consists of carrying out a number of hidden missions until a certain point in time when the code “6000” must be entered. In the end, a message is displayed on a screen that calls out: Something big is coming to the AMD battle arena!
This is an indirect confirmation from AMD that the next generation of the Radeon series will be called RX 6000, after several changes to the scheme in recent years.
AMD has repeatedly confirmed that Big Navi will arrive this year. In addition, the company’s staff also said that the new graphics cards should be launched before the next-generation consoles, which are also based on the RNDA 2 architecture. Currently, the consoles are scheduled for launch in mid-November, suggesting that the next generation of the Radeon series should be expected near that date.
For the slightly more curious: This fortnightly Easter egg is hidden in a battle arena map, which is basically a stadium with the theme “business”.
