Thermalright has just announced a TR4 variant of its Silver Arrow ventilrad. This high-end solution is designed for configurations operating an AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor.
This Silver Arrow TR4 is capable of dissipating a maximum of 320 Watts. It can, therefore, cool all the chips of the Ryzen Threadripper range but also the next generation. Threadripper II will offer up to 32 cores.
We are on a solution quite different from the Arrow SB-E and Arrow ITX-R.
Silver Arrow TR4, details.
This ventilrad is presented with a double tower architecture. Its nickel-plated copper base is imposing in order to cover the entire IHS of a Ryzen Threadripper.
A set of eight 6 mm diameter heat pipes is responsible for transporting the heat to two sets of aluminum fins. Between the two towers, we have a 140 mm PWM fan. Its speed is between 600 and 2500 rpm for an air flow between 53.3 and 220.9 m³ / h. Noise pollution is between 21 and 45 dBA depending on the level of ventilation.
This Silver Arrow TR4 requires a little space to accommodate its dimensions of 155 mm x 103 mm for a height of 163 mm. The various clichés show that its design is designed to minimize the risks of memory incompatibility and with the first PCIe 3.0 x16 slot.
Thermalright does not specify the price of its Silver Arrow TR4.
