The second generation of the Ryzen Threadripper series has been extended by a new reference, the Ryzen Threadripper 2950X.
Aiming at the HETC market with 16 physical cores at the heart of its Zen+ architecture. As part of the solution, SMT technology offers 32 logical cores. It works on an X399 platform that supports ECC memory and SToreMI.
Ryzen Threadripper 2950X, for intensive multitasking
It is already available in several online stores for $899. The vendor requires this processor to address a very specific market to take advantage of its potential tone.
As the vendor, it is aimed at:
“Enthusiastic users, professionals and players who intensively use multitasking.”
On this issue of power, AMD announces the following:
“The Ryzen Threadripper 2950X offers 41% higher multithreading performance compared to the Core i9-7900X.”
The Ryzen Threadripper Series now offers seven processors from 1900X to $299 to 2990WX to $1799.
