Samsung is making a battery that can be folded up

If we want to use a folding mobile phone, with a screen and keyboard that can also be folded, we need to make the batteries a little more flexible.

That’s what Samsung is doing, working on a folding battery project so that they can be used in those mobile prototypes that have been advertised for so many years without success.

The news did not come from Samsung, it has appeared in the middle of etnews.com and ithome.com, as reported in TNW. Apparently, they have already discovered a way to make high-capacity batteries that can store between 3,000mAh and 6,000mAh of power, numbers far higher than the 210mAh flexible cell that Samsung SDI’s subsidiary created four years ago.

The aim is to apply it to a pilot series of flexible OLED displays, which could be available in the Galaxy X to be built in 2019. The mobile phone with a folding screen that was shown in 2011 (yes, 7 years ago) could be opened and closed 100,000 times before its brightness fell by 6 percent, in this case, we don’t have numbers that indicate the characteristics of the OLED next year.

If it’s two screens that come together when we open the phone, we’ve already seen something like this in the MWC with ZTE, so we’re expecting something more revolutionary.
