It has already been suggested that AMD is planning an event for the press at the end of July. Events of this kind are used to familiarize journalists with the products before they can test them in detail in the editorial offices. Therefore, the release date on August 13th mentioned by Benchlife and wccftech seems to be quite plausible.

AMD Threadripper 2000The Threadripper 2000 processors offer 32 cores with 64 threads.

AMD will initially release only two Threadripper 2000 processors instead of three originally planned. However, the 16-core has fallen victim to the red pen, instead, AMD focuses on the Threadripper 2950X baptized 24-core and the Threadripper 2990X with 32 compute cores. In April, AMD launched new Ryzen processors with six and eight cores, which we have already tested.
