NVIDIA reportedly announced its RTX 3090 Ti flagship graphics card at CES 2022 this year. Nvidia Jeff Fisher said at the event that more news about the RTX 3090 Ti would be announced later in January, but Nvidia still hadn’t launched the card until mid-February. Nvidia is still working on the RTX 3090 Ti, its flagship graphics card announced in early January but not yet released.
RTX 3090 Ti still has no sign of life, and Nvidia refuses to give any further information.
The green team had excitedly announced the RTX 3090 Ti graphics card early last month, and it was rumored to launch later this month, but a series of issues have plagued the launch.
Recently, we discovered that the flagship RTX 30 series had some PCB design issues. As reported a few days ago, the GPU requires a higher voltage to maintain the high clock speeds, which forced Intel to redesign the PCB to achieve this.
The problem was reportedly discovered during the final stages of the graphics card’s development, which is why the launch has been delayed. A PCB redesign isn’t done in two days, so it’s understandable why Nvidia is taking so long to provide more information about it.
“We don’t have any more information about the RTX 3090 Ti at this time, but we’ll be in touch when we do,” Nvidia spokesperson Jen Andersson recently told The Verge.
The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is a GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores and comes with 24GB of VRAM memory, reaching speeds of 21Gbps. This improvement in memory speed over the 3090 could bring this graphics card up to 1 TB/s bandwidth.
The estimate is that this model should be +10% faster than the RTX 3090, so we’ll see if this performance boost is worth the price difference between the two models. We will keep you posted on the latest news.
