Leaked documents confirm MSI’s RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X graphics card will be released on Jan. 27

For the past few months, the internet has been abuzz with rumors of NVIDIA releasing a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card based on the GA102 full-blooded core. Earlier this week, we’ve seen the RTX 3090 Ti boxed for the ASUS TUF Gaming series. Although still to be confirmed, VideoCardz has now learned in another leaked document that the MSI RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X (Super Dragon) graphics card will be released on January 27, 2022.

As we have already heard several rumors pointing to it, a leaked MSI document confirms that the card will be released on January 27, 23 days after its announcement at CES 2022 on January 4 during Nvidia’s conference.

The document was leaked by Videocardz and apparently deals with the testing embargo of the SUPRIM X 24G model, the top-of-the-line model that MSI will present and deliver to selected testers. It confirms that the embargo will be lifted on January 27 at 11 am, so we may see the various RTX 3090 Ti tests on that day and time, not only from MSI but from all manufacturers.

What do we know about this new top-of-the-line GPU from Nvidia?

Apparently, the new card will feature several improvements over the standard RTX 3090: 10752 Cuda cores versus 10496, 21Gbps of memory versus 19.5Gbps, and a 450W TDP versus the RTX 3090’s 350W, which will allow you to get the full performance out of the card by increasing the frequencies almost indefinitely by having a much higher power limit.

There are no details on pricing yet, but considering that the RTX 3090 has a suggested retail price of U$S 1500 and sells for over U$S 2000, we wouldn’t be surprised if this Ti version has a suggested retail price of U$S 2000 and its prices closer to U$S 3000.

As the MSI document mentions, we will have to wait until January 27 to get to know this RTX 3090 Ti in detail and see how much it performs and its actual market price.
