Rockstar is preparing for next-generation gaming software on consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Project Scarlett. The company is hiring a new programmer who will develop character animations for great next-generation games like GTA 6.
“We are a global team of programmers and researchers working together to expand the boundaries of character animation to next-generation hardware,” we read in the job posting.
This is not the first time Rockstar has talked about the next generation of consoles in a job search. As early as January, there were several vacancies to fill for people who are responsible for creating next-generation open worlds and technology managers for motion capture.
At the moment we know that Rockstar is working on several new projects and is supported by indie studio Ruffian Games. It’s an open secret that GTA 6 is one of these projects after all GTA is the golden goose for Rockstar. Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, recently announced it would “take over sequels to our largest franchises, including an exciting new IP.
We probably won’t be hearing about GTA 6 for a while, but it’s almost certain that the game is already in development.
