According to informant Dusk Golem, the still unannounced Resident Evil 8 is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2021, with a slight delay due to the COVID 19 pandemic, which will prevent its launch in early January.
Capcom has yet to reveal anything about the next Resident Evil, but recent rumors suggest that the title will be more open than the franchise’s recent releases. It has also been said that the game will continue the story of Ethan Winters, the main character in Resident Evil 7 and that it will be based on other types of creatures rather than zombies. It’s worth mentioning that many of these rumors also originate from Dusk Golem.
Another rumor comes from the foreign website “Biohazard Cast”, according to the website, the name of the new Resident Evil is probably “Resident Evil 8: Village”, and Capcom uses the Roman numeral “VIII” as the equivalent of “Village” in the title, which is similar to “Resident Evil 7”. Also, the latest revelation said that Chris Redfield, who appeared at the end of Resident Evil 7, will play a more prominent role in Resident Evil 8, and Ethan Winters, the protagonist of the previous film, will again take the lead in the game, in line with the previously rumored Resident Evil.
As we’ve already said, there is no official information about Resident Evil 8, so we advise you to read everything you read here with caution.
