Resident Evil 4 VR is a virtual reality remake of the Capcom hit that will be released next month. The new extended gameplay trailer not only shows us the changes made to this adaptation but also confirms that the game will be exclusive to Oculus Quest 2.
The colleagues from IGN had the opportunity to try out the new title and have published a gameplay video. Here’s what they had to say about the new VR experience:
Resident Evil 4 allows both full freedoms of movement and teleportation movements.
One of the most important changes to RE4 in VR is the way items are managed. You can now pull weapons and other items directly from your virtual body, whether it’s reaching for a weapon on your belt or pulling a health item from your left shoulder.
Entire puzzles and other elements, such as the typewriter for saving games, have been recreated in a fully interactive way.
In between boss fights and enemies, there’s the beautiful and gloomy world of Resident Evil 4. I’ve seen this world many times over the years, but there’s nothing like seeing it in virtual reality. The constant cloud cover becomes physically oppressive and you can almost smell the rot and blood in the city. But there are also moments of quiet beauty that you can see for the first time only in virtual reality.
