You may remember the Pascal-generation AMP series, dual-fan ZOTAC graphics cards with a very simple look. With the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 AMP, ZOTAC goes one step further with a third fan. Of course, these are not extreme models, so they lack most RGB features or higher clock rates.
ZOTAC has its own custom models of the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 AMP ready for use.
Both cards look identical except for the power supply: The RTX 2080 Ti has two 8-pin connectors, 2080 has a 6+8-pin connector. Let’s remember that images are renderings, so there are things that can change.
ZOTAC adds the third fan instead of using only two at the beginning of the previous generation. This is already an important warning for those who are interested in these new graphics cards, they will probably consume more than Pascal and generate more heat. We can’t know that at the moment, but ZOTAC doesn’t want to have any problems in this respect, unlike Palit, which has prepared models with 2 fans.
These cards will not be ZOTAC’s high-end models, they are also expected to be customer-specific EXTREME cards with higher clock rates and safely built-in RGB lighting.
When will they be introduced?
As soon as Nvidia officially announces the new generation of GeForce RTX, many manufacturers will probably continue to present their own custom models. Looks like it won’t be long now, player.
