New mine worlds from the top creators

In the process of getting to know Minecraft with RTX, several of the world’s most talented creators from the Minecraft community have been working with the company.

The first results of this collaboration are shown today in a series of screenshots that showcase their amazing work. The screenshots show worlds created by Razzleberries, BlockWorks, and GeminiTay (biographies below), just some of the creators chosen for their imagination and fantastic track record as captivating contributors to the Minecraft community.

  • Of Temples and Totems RTX by Razzleberries – A world of adventure where players focus on exploring and mastering challenges in mysterious temples. Each temple displays a pixel-per-pixel emission and real-time shadows, and takes advantage of global lighting to provide players with an immersive experience.
  • Imagination Island RTX by BlockWorks — A fully explorable theme park filled with Easter eggs that houses four different lands, each dedicated to a real-time ray tracing element. In this scene, we see the visitor in the center of the park, highlighted by God’s rays shining through the windows onto the ground in real time.
  • GeminiTay’s Crystal Palace RTX — A survival map with an extravagant fantasy theme depicting a masterfully built castle. Lightning drawn shadows and beautiful atmospheres create realism in this
Tools and tutorials to empower the creators of Minecraft
  • NVIDIA also introduced a series of tools and tutorials that help miners create immersive and vibrant worlds. Originally announced at our traditional Silicon Valley conference on graphics card technology, these online tutorials are being published as part of GTC Digital and include
  • Creating Physically Based Rendering Textures — A presentation and tutorial on how to dive into the details behind Minecraft with RTX tracing and PBR textures, and how they work together to create amazing views. Includes a step-by-step workflow for creating your own PBR textures and texture packages.
  • To convert Java worlds to RTX worlds — NVIDIA has partnered with the makers of Minecraft to develop an unofficial best practice guide for converting your world to Bedrock Windows 10 Edition, which will form the basis for the upcoming Minecraft with RTX.
  • NVIDIA teams worked hand in hand with Microsoft to deliver worlds that are fully mapped, with reflections, shadows, caustics, global lighting, and other realistic lighting effects that interact naturally with the physically based textures applied to Minecraft blocks. These PBR textures enable per-pixel emissions, volumetric effects and other unique views that, along with routing effects, mark the beginning of Minecraft’s next evolution.
