Nvidia Scanner is the new tool from Nvidia to delight gaming enthusiasts. Nvidia products are the most popular on the market, perhaps that’s why the company decided to give players a super easy way to increase the speed of their graphics cards with just one click.
In the electronic world, the practice known as overclocking is associated with bringing an electronic component to a higher clock rate, implying that some methods are somewhat complicated and cumbersome for those who don’t know the thing, but Nvidia will now make it easier for PC players to overclock their graphics cards.
In this context, Nvidia has announced that it plans to integrate this new functionality into its new graphics card series, starting with the latest version, the GeForce RTX 2080. However, the company is expected to incorporate this feature into future GPUs along with the ability to integrate it into earlier models.
Maximum performance at the touch of a button
This simplified Nvidia overclocking system is implemented by a tool called Nvidia Scanner, which provides more precise controls for the overclocking of our graphics cards, such as Voltage monitoring, speed adjustment, RGB control, an OSD, custom fan profiles for multi-GPU systems, and screen capture functionality in every game.
Prior to this implementation, users had to run trial and error tests to search for speed levels using a benchmark tool or game. With this functionality, you can push your graphics cards to the extreme limits and Nvidia takes care of the entire process in just 20 minutes.
Additionally, Nvidia has been working with MSI, Gigabyte, Asus and other card manufacturers to develop an API that connects to existing GPU management tools, so this will be the first of many news we’ll hear about this new feature.
