Nintendo Labo, cardboard toys for the Nintendo Switch

The company announced its new family proposal that seeks to give a twist to the offer of your console. But keep in mind that they are just pieces of papers. Now Nintendo presented what it had touted as “a new interactive experience for Nintendo Switch. That is perfect for children and adults alike.”

The product in question is called Nintendo Labo. And that is an experience for all ages that will use plates called “Toy-Con.” The idea is that everyone will learn to build their accessories for the hit console of the moment, always considering that they are only glorified cards.

And naturally, Nintendo anticipates that the idea is “to inspire creative minds and playful hearts.” All for 69 dollars in his “Variety Kit. While the “Robot Kit” will cost 79.99 dollars.

How does Nintendo Labo work?

As we have seen in the official information offered by Nintendo, we can acquire a series of kits. That will include everything you need to enjoy creating and playing. The robot kit, for example, includes the following:

  • A game cartridge with software designed to be used with said kit
  • 19 cardboard plates + 1 extra to customize
  • 4 sheets of cardboard
  • 2 orange strings and 2 blue strings
  • A large gray ribbon, another medium and two small ones
  • 10 eyelets gray and 2 orange

To understand the interactive idea of construction and game, which will go on sale on April 20, see the following video that poses an Art-Attack experience not only to be stuck to the screen with the offer of their video games

Depending on the kit chosen, it can be found, from the cardboard plates to different types of ribbons, ropes, cardboard, etc. And of course, the Nintendo Switch game card, with the software to use in that kit.

Following the instructions from the Switch, you can create different models or pieces, called Toy-Con, for example, a motorcycle, a piano or a fishing rod. The user can customize each Toy-Con with stickers, colors, or whatever you want.

At the moment, there are two kits on the platform, one with all the elements to create a robot suit. And the other comes with varied features to create up to 5 different Toy-Con. These kits will be available for sale, starting in April, with a price of 70 to 80 dollars.

It’s the most Nintendo that Nintendo could have done, after squeezing franchises or launch games with more than a year late, of course.
