NASA Selfies, a new app to photograph you in space

NASA comes up with the new app for Android, NASA Selfies. Many times we share NASA’s tools and resources published on the Internet, from spatial sound playlists to images showing the consequences of climate change on our planet. NASA took this opportunity to introduce a Selfies application and another to travel into space via virtual reality.

NASA Selfies, Just for fun?

With a focus on exoplanet excursions, this is a virtual reality application for devices like Oculus and HTC Vive. The happy users of one of these headsets will enjoy a rather interesting spatial experience. Specifically, the application shows us a tour through the TRAPPIST-1 system, which has seven planets of similar size to Earth.

As far as NASA Selfies is concerned, NASA has made available a simple application to users that allows us to obtain results such as the image illustrating this article by placing our faces in front of recognized spatial landmarks such as the Orion Nebula. Of course, we can download the generated images and share them on social networks.

At this point, we cannot deny that this is a strange start for NASA. If you want to take a look, you can download NASA Selfies for free from the App Store and Google Play.
