MSI officially introduces the MEG X399 Creation motherboard for the second generation of AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. The TR4 motherboard had recently appeared in a leak, but now the specifications have been confirmed.
With an EATX format, the MEG X399 Creation is characterized by its 19-phase VRM, an ideal design to support processors like the Threadripper 2990WX with 32 cores and 250W TDP. The motherboard also has two 8-pin EPS power connectors.
On the termination side, the MEG X399 Creation has four PCIe 3.0 x16 and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slots and support for up to 7 M.2 ports, three of them with M.2 Frozr cooling and the rest with an adapter called Aero-Xpander.
The MEG X399 Creation motherboard also has 8 SATA slots and a total of 15 USB 3.1 ports of the first and second generation. The product comes with support for 7.1 audio, integrated Intel Dual LAN, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.
The motherboard is equipped with thermal sensors and enables more precise control of the connected fans. And, as expected there are RGB LEDs.
MSI has not yet announced the price of the MEG X399 Creation and the date of its launch.
