The MSI Creator 17 is the first notebook in the world to have a display in mini-LED technology. The manufacturer boasts with this device in Las Vegas, where the CES 2020 is held. MSI claims that the use of a new type of matrix backlight allows for more precise dimming and brightening of the screen.
The MSI Creator 17 is a new laptop from a renowned notebook manufacturer that will be presented at the company’s booth during CES 2020 along with other computers, including the Aegis Ti5 gaming model. The new laptop is characterized above all by its mini LED screen implementation.
MSI explains that the implementation of the novel backlighting enables more precise control of the screen brightness compared to older LED technology. The new solution uses tiny diodes no larger than 2 mm. This also applies to image quality, including HDR content, which benefits from higher contrast.
The MSI Creator 17 has up to 240 local backlight zones. For a 17-inch screen, that’s quite an impressive number. In comparison, the expensive Apple Pro Display XDR 576 has such zones, but its diagonal is much larger (32 inches). Notebook price or date of availability in stores is not indicated.
