Concept Duet, Dell shows a laptop with 2 foldable screens, all the way from 13 to 27 inches!

Dell will unveil new tech during this CES 2021, but we’ve fallen in love with this foldable screen concept. It’s called the Concept Duet and it could be the future.

We can agree that Dell is one of the serious computer companies to respect. With the Concept Ori, a tablet with a foldable screen, and the Concept Duet, a laptop with two 13.4-inch screens, the American company wants to hit the table.

Based on this concept, it’s a 13.4-inch notebook that looks normal, but hides a secret: a second screen of the same size. After expanding the second screen, we use a total of 27 inches (26.8), becoming an ultra-panoramic screen. This is possible thanks to a hinge that allows us to take out the second screen to the right and then slide the main screen to the left.

The idea of carrying a laptop with two screens seems crazy, leaving us immediately wondering how thick this laptop will be that won’t be thin. Dell wants you to be able to work both at home and at work, where we have more space for this purpose.

The other concept that Dell has conveyed has to do with a tablet with a foldable screen. In this case, it’s a tablet with a 6.5-inch screen that can be displayed at a total of 13.4 inches. I have to say that aesthetically it reminded me of the iPad Pro in that it kept the bezels to a minimum.

I understand that Dell is offering this product as an easily portable device that allows you to work, draw, and write notes no matter where you are. However, we must remember that this is a concept, so it may be a product that will never reach the market.

The American company wanted to imagine how the work in the office of the future could look like. Apparently, Dell has its vision of the so-called “smart offices”, where there is no fixed workplace, but based on the “availability” of the workplace.

He also wanted to show a digital notebook as a wireless accessory, which is still a concept. The table would be equipped with a wireless charging function, so we can charge the battery of our laptop, for example.

In this imaginary office, he wanted to make a wink at the mini PCs, which are desktop computers with a compact size. As for Dell, I’m sure that when these products hit the market, they won’t be very affordable.
