A while ago we talked about XBOX Scarlett, Microsoft’s next-generation console that is already in preparation and is expected to arrive in the next three years at the latest. Today’s news comes from several sources, including Brad Sams, one of the leading experts on Microsoft.
XBOX Scarlett would come in two flavors to choose from
In E3, Microsoft mentioned that they were working on a state-of-the-art console. From that moment onwards, some information about possible new features of the new console, such as the coveted 4K and 60 fps, as well as the codename of the console, XBOX Scarlett, emerged.
Today, more than interesting information is emerging about the future of Microsoft and XBOX within video games. Filtering reveals that there will be two models of this new generation console, one more traditional with a focus on raw power, and the other would be a kind of Scarlett Cloud’ that would use streaming to run XBOX games. Of course, this model would be cheaper than the traditional one, as it does not require too powerful hardware. Of course, in order to play the games, we would need a good Internet connection.
Microsoft has been looking to stream the game to its XBOX platform for years and it looks like the next generation. The good news is that Microsoft will offer two options, one as a traditional console, and the other to play via streaming, not leaving aside any player type.
At the moment, it is not known which hardware will be used in the traditional model, but if the 4K and 60 fps are the targets of Redmond’s giant, it will have to be a very powerful piece.
