Marvel Iron Man VR, new details for the exclusive PlayStation VR game

Announced during Sony’s first State of Play Show last March, Marvel Iron Man VR is back with a developer notes to tell us a little more about it. We summarize everything for you!

Several members of the Camouflaj studio speak in this new video released by YouTube PlayStation. According to their director Ryan Payton, we discover the goal they set for Iron Man VR. The feeling of flying must be pleasant; it must be very fast, but above all, the player must feel that he is really Tony Stark in the armor of Iron Man.

The developers focused on three main aspects that are inextricably linked to the steel hero: Theft, HUD display and the legendary weapons the player must use. First of all, there will be a feeling of freedom. The game resembles a sandbox game where the player is actually free in his movements. So it’s not a rail-shooter, as the very first trailer suggests. In contrast to a flying game like Ace Combat 7, the player has to “control” the armor directly with his body, more precisely his arms and wrists, as Tony Stark does in comic and Marvel movies. So it will be possible to move, but also to turn yourself on, by using the two engines in a coordinated way; ascending, descending to the ground at full speed, etc…. a really total control similar to the brilliant Megaton rainfall!

New information about Iron Man VR, the exclusive PlayStation VR

According to Camouflaj, the players will not be aces from the first games on. Like Tony Stark in front of them, it will require learning and above all a lot of practice. The players will then feel all the power and joy of the armor, this is the goal of the studio for this adventure game exclusive to PlayStation VR. Iron Man VR has no specific date, but it should arrive in 2019.
